Overview

Lok Lok Street is a vibrant steamboat restaurant nestled at 19a, Jalan Kenari 9, Bandar Puchong Jaya, Selangor. This open-air hawker spot offers a unique blend of traditional Malaysian street food with a focus on lok lok—skewers of various ingredients cooked on the spot, ready to be enjoyed with an array of dipping sauces.

The experience here is authentic and lively, ideal for diners who appreciate casual outdoor dining in a bustling setting. Seating is entirely outdoors, which complements the vibrant atmosphere but means it’s best visited during pleasant weather. This no-frills environment reflects the essence of street food culture—simple, social, and unpretentious.

Lok Lok Street’s menu shines with local favorites such as the Duck Egg Char Kway Teow, a rich, smoky noodle dish that captures the essence of Malaysian comfort food. The Lok Lok Sausage and Signature Fried Bacon provide a satisfyingly crispy and flavorful bite, enhanced by the special coating that sets them apart. Beyond the skewers, dishes like Asam Laksa and Fried Oyster Omelette showcase deeper regional flavors, balancing sour and savory in every mouthful. Pair these with cooling desserts like Red Bean Ice Shave or refreshing drinks such as Longan Ribena to cleanse the palate.

The restaurant welcomes a diverse crowd—from families and groups of friends looking for a casual night out to food enthusiasts eager to dive into authentic street food offerings. It’s not for those seeking air-conditioned comfort, but for anyone who enjoys the authenticity of dining under the open sky amid the buzz of other diners and food stalls.

Service is friendly and efficient, reflecting the community spirit common in Malaysian hawker centers. While parking can be a challenge during peak hours, the variety of food trucks and stalls means you have plenty to sample—fried, boiled, and grilled varieties—all served fresh from evening until late night.

Overall, Lok Lok Street captures the heart of Puchong’s street food scene with its diverse menu, lively atmosphere, and straightforward dining experience. It’s a place to savor bold flavors and share unforgettable moments in a setting that feels like home to street food lovers.

Lok Lok aside, this fruit rojak and drinks truck run by an elderly couple alone deserves a shoutout for their fruit rojak and homemade herbal tea (with balanced sweetness level). Yes, this is a typical outdoor hawker setting - not for fussies. Considered clean for street food category. (Please go to an air conditioned mall or shop for food if you expect a rainproof space and not having to perspire eating lok lok or street food )

Only outdoor seating available, hot or not depends on weather. Food not bad, fried kuey teow, lok lok and tong shui. Price is reasonable and there's not much parking.

Easily 4-5 lok lok stalls, and plenty of lok lok choices, other street foods like fried lala/oyster, char kuey teow, and sweet dessert to pair with food. We had tasty and crunchy lok lok in fried style with their special coating. Signature dish fried bacon, and other fried kangkung, fried small egg, fried fish ball, fried bacon mushroom. Price is fair. We also had fried oyster, not many oyster though. Taste is ok. Price abit expensive rm14 per plate. Service from lok lok stall boss is friendly. Thumb up. Parking can be challenging during peak hour. But easy to get seating place.

Great spot for an outdoor dining experience with ample of food to go around. The char kuey teow truck was delicious too! You are free to stand at each truck to have your lok lok(the actual way) or have it brought to a vacant table to eat or takeaway. Do make sure to get a variety of cooking style from boiled and fry, you won’t regret it. And it starts from 6pm-11pm, some goes up to 1am. Price was reasonable too. I was a group of 6 and we spent about RM20 each including drinks.

Good place to eat lok lok. Prices different from each of the trucks. The prices per stick vary between RM 2 to RM 6 depends on the item and the trucks. Opens after 6pm and usually packed. We went on Sunday at 7pm and it wasn't much crowded.
